Together with Morten Hedegaard Design & Architecture, Designbrokers have undertaken the complete refitting of the First Hotel Kolding, located in the newly built Arkitema-designed Slotsmøllen, in the centre of Kolding.
The task was to create the ‘best value for money’ within a fixed budget framework. Thus, every penny was accounted for and Designbrokers' role as broker to the manufacturers and suppliers was put to the test. The result was a modern and functional design expression which also provided Designbrokers the opportunity to utilize new and innovative manufacturers such as the Danish brand Hay. The assignment included the design, coordination and delivery of all standard and special inventory for the restaurant, bar, lounge, conference rooms and 140 rooms. The project was completed in 2006.
